DEFY THE SCARCITY CONSCIOUSNESS

This is an issue that I struggle with on a daily basis - SCARCITY CONSCIOUSNESS.
I know it may sound flaky to some of you, and others of you may be familiar
with the term - but here's the lowdown... Scarcity Consciousness is what
keeps us - personally, communally, provincially, globally - broke and
struggling, and unhappy.
Affirming every other minute how broke we are, how poor we are, how little
we have, how hard it is, how unfair it is, how unsupportive the universe
is... that's a self-propagating cycle... it's all about energy - the more
energy we, as a planet, put into negative thinking, the harder it is to
combat it with positive thinking.
Yes, I know, when you're deep in the red and feeling completely overwhelmed
and helpless, it's really hard to look for the light at the end of the
tunnel, never mind see it... but you HAVE to... that's the only way to
get to it! (I'm happy to give you details if you need proof I've been
there first hand.)
You HAVE to look for the light, steer yourself towards it, work for it,
EXPECT IT TO BE THERE!
Don't get me wrong... it's not a walk in the park trying to be the entrepreneur,
and the breadwinner, and the mother, and the wife, and the cadet supporter,
and the friend,
and the innovator, and the maid, and the chauffeur, and the gardener,
and the sister, and the confidante, and...
But what are you on the planet to do? Whine and moan about how hard your
life is? I doubt it. Chances are you're here to do something positive
and make a difference, somehow, somewhere, no matter how small.
Once you figure that out and do it... the rest will fall into place and
soon enough you'll be well in the black and looking back on those red
days with pride in your tenacity, courage and vision.
So how do you figure it out? Before anything else, you have to be WILLING
to figure it out. And to be willing to figure it out, you have to be willing
to accept that it could change your life! And you have to be willing to
give up whining, and being broke, and going nowhere. How hard is that?
Well, for some people it's extremely hard. For some people that's the
only thing they have to talk about, because they have allowed their life
to be consumed by it. They have turned their back on the light - or the
possibility that there could be some.
It's about having the willingness to see the positive... and expect it
from the people around you too. Be willing to step around other people's
negativity and stay the course in your positive outlook. There's little
more disheartening than a friend who says "yeah, this is really crappy
and that's just the way it is. This is our life!" Is THIS your life?
Dark and hopeless and behind on the bills, and hiding from your potential?
So when are you going to take the first step and be willing to see the
light that's there somewhere? After you move that little tiny bit, then
you can go to the next step and actually live it. But until you are willing
to accept the fact that no matter how lousy things get, there IS light
at the end of the tunnel SOMEWHERE, you'll find it. You'll get there.
You'll beat the darkness.
And that's all I have to say about that... for now.
